YOGASHAKTI HEALTH
& WELLNESS CENTRE

OUR YOGIC PHILOSOPHY

Our 21st century tends to keep us on our toes, kids and adults alike. The burden of stress or unhealthy lifestyles can sometimes catch up on us. Yoga offers a way to rejuvenate our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellness, & grow through our daily lives with equanimity.

The Yogashakti Health & Wellness Centre offers tools and training for adults and children who are seeking health, self development, and spiritual growth. The aim is to create awareness of personal well-being as a very real possibility for people of all ages, and offer the means for it through the authentic, holistic practice of Yoga.

Our teaching is as per the tradition of Bihar School of Yoga, located at Ganga Darshan Vishwa Yogapeeth, Munger, the karma bhumi of Sri Satyananda Saraswatiji. It includes physical postures (asanas), preparatory breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation under instruction, Yoganidra, detoxification techniques (shatkarma or shuddhi kriyas); along with theory, limitations, contra-indications and benefits of all the practices.

We follow the Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga practice for individual aspirants seeking physical, mental and spiritual growth. Hatha Yoga works on balancing the ida and pingala energy flows, i.e. the negative and positive energies of the body, in order to ensure good physical and mental health. Kundalini Yoga is for the advanced aspirants with strong foundations looking for spiritual progress. Our training system focuses on the theory and practice around the subtle energies of the body & the path of spiritual enhancement.

 OUR CLASSES

Our Classes

We conduct individual classes and programs that are customized based on the person’s health concerns or specific objectives, in line with the tradition of Hatha Yoga. Different postures can impact the organs of the body differently. Hence, it is essential to draw up a program that suits a person’s unique needs.

Our Kundalini Yoga classes also have a theory component, where we cover the Yamas and Niyamas as a base to the journey of Kundalini awakening.

We also do group programs with similar needs, be it general fitness, specific ailments, etc. The intent is to empower each student to discover an independent practice of their own.
